- Any woody plant of the genus Sapindus, which is eponymous of the Sapindaceae family
- Most soapberries are tropical.
- The fruit of such a plant, especially of the tree Sapindus saponaria.
- Soapberries are rich enough in saponin to be used as soap substitute, hence their name.
