From Ottoman Turkish سرینلمك (serinlemek, to cool, to become cool or chilly)[1], from Ottoman Turkish سرین (serin, cool, cold, chilly), from Mongolian seriɣün (cool, fresh)[2][3], morphologically serin + -le + -mek.
