Cognate with Old Frisian sīa (West Frisian sjen), Old Saxon sehan (Low German sehn), Old Dutch sian (Dutch zien), Old High German sehan (German sehen), Old Norse sjá (Danish and Swedish se, Icelandic sjá), Gothic 𐍃𐌰𐌹𐍈𐌰𐌽 (saiƕan).
