事出有因

事出有因 [shì chū yǒu yīn]

1. ■ A thing [Everything] has its cause.; It is by no means accidental.; not entirely devoid of truth; The cause is not far to seek.; There is a [good] reason [cause] for it.; There's no smoke without fire.; This happens not without reason.:

事出有因， 各有社会基础。 These things happen for a good reason; they have social roots.
