Usage notes
If mejor is used as an attributive adjective (as opposed to a substantive adjective), then obviously mejor would be preceded by "la" instead of "lo" if the modified noun is feminine.
Example:
- El granjero quiere sacar la mejor calidad de la semilla que es posible.
- The farmer wants to bring the best quality out of the seed that is possible.
