与闻 [yù wén]

1. ■ have a participant's knowledge of; be let into (a secret, etc.):

与闻其事 have a participant's knowledge of a matter; be in the know;

不能让这样的人与闻国家机密。 We mustn't allow such a person access to confidential matters of the state.
