不相称 [bù xiāng chèn]

1. ■ unbecoming; ill-matched; unsuited; out of proportion:

同某人地位不相称 be unsuited to sb.'s position;

与其传统不相称 unworthy of its traditions;

与某人身分不相称的行为 conduct unbecoming to [for] sb.;

干这种事与他的身分极不相称。 It is utterly unbecoming of him to do such a thing.

这种荣誉对他不相称。 Such honour is unbecoming to [for] him.
