Etymology
Named in 1884 by Johannes Theodor Lorenzen in honour of Henrik Johannes Rink (1819-1893), Director of the Royal Greenland Board of Trade at the time.
Rink + -ite
In 2016, the IMA renamed rinkite to rinkite-(Ce), as opposed to rinkite-(Y).
