resolutioner (plural resolutioners)

  1. One who makes a resolution; one who joins with others in a declaration or resolution.
  2. (historical) A member of a 17th-century party in the Church of Scotland who approved of the resolutions of the Commission of General Assembly (1650) allowing all persons, except those excommunicate and hostile to the Covenant, to take part in the struggle against Cromwell.
