1. A device for reseating a component.

     In addition to his own kit of hand tools, the mechanic has a pressure grease gun, a set of inside and outside micrometers, a paint gun, valve reseaters, special cylinder head wrenches, and an electric drill.

2. A person who replaces the seat of a chair.

     The last of these workmen of the road to quit their rounds were the chair reseaters, commonly called chair bottomers, and clock repairmen.
