Etymology
The prefix counterpart to the preposition ré (“before”).
Prefix
rem- (pretonic remi-)
- pre-, fore-, before
- rem- + téit (“to go”) → remi·tét (“to go before, precede”)
- rem- + as·beir (“to say”) → remi·epir (“to say, mention beforehand”)
- rem- + suidigud (“position”) → remsuidigud (“preposition”)
