Etymology
From Proto-Iranian *Hhucráwah, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *Hsućráwas, from *Hsu- (“good”) + *ćráwas (“fame”). Equivalent to 𐬵𐬎- (hu-, “good”) + 𐬯𐬭𐬀𐬎𐬎𐬀 (srauua, “word”). Cognate with Vedic Sanskrit सुश्रवस् (suśrávas, “famous”).
