Etymology

From French archéologue, from post-classical Latin archaiologus or its etymon Byzantine Greek ἀρχαιολόγος (arkhaiológos), from Ancient Greek ἀρχαιο- (arkhaio-, archaeo-) + -λογος (-logos, -logue).[1]
