qalbieni
Maltese
Etymology
Derived from qalb (“heart”), from Arabic قَلْب (qalb), perhaps after the expression قَوِيُّ القَلْبِ (qawiyyu l-qalbi, “courageous”, literally “strong of heart”). The same notion exists in many languages, compare German beherzt, English take heart, etc. Compare also the etymology of courage.
