From Proto-Inuit *nuanniʁ- (“enjoy oneself, pleasant, enjoyable”), from Proto-Eskimo *nuna- (“to enjoy oneself”). Compare nuannaraa (“like, appreciate”), and nuannaarpoq (“is pleased, enjoys oneself”).
