Etymology
Compound of M (emu, first letter of English middle or Japanese 真ん中 (mannaka, “middle; center”)) + JC (jēshī, “female middle school student”). It was probably inspired by FJK (efujēkē), MJK (emujēkē), and LJK (erujēkē), which were widely used after broadcasting of Bay Storm by Kazunari Ninomiya.
