Etymology

Borrowed from Late Latin Maglocunus, from Proto-Brythonic *Maɣlogun, an archaic form of *Maɨlgun, from Proto-Celtic *Maglokunos (literally “noble hound”).[1] Equivalent to modern Welsh Maelgwn.
