Usage notes
- Unlike positive, the comparative forms are used even in contemporary Finnish as adjectives.
- Some comparative forms are used also as adverbs: loitommaksi, loitommalla, loitommalle, loitommalta, loitommas, loitompaa, loitompana.
- The word loitto is used as modifier in some compound terms in the field of photography.
