  1. (dated, fandom slang) A fanzine that is all or mostly composed of letters of comment.
    • 1950 January, Rapp, Art, “Timber!”, in Spacewarp, number 34, page 3:
      Incidental to the subject of fanzines -- POSTWARP, the letterzine for NFFF Members only, is well under way, with its fourth monthly ish due for completion within the next two or three days. If you are an N3F member, you're passing up plenty of interesting arguments by not subscribing.
    • 1959, Richard Emey, Fancyclopedia II, Vom: Voice of the Imagi-nation:
      VOM VOICE OF THE IMAGI-NATION, 4sj & Morojo's letterzine which flourished for fifty issues in the early 40s. It was originally just the lettercolumn of the LASFS OO, IMAGINATION!, but later took off on its own under Acky's ministrations.
