- (adverb-forming suffix) -ly. Added to a word to form an adverb. Today it is mainly used with adjectives suffixed with -i and present participles. In the past, it was added to different parts of speech.
- valószínű (“probable”) → valószínűleg (“probably”)
- (noun-forming suffix) Added to a verb to form a noun. It is no longer productive in this role.
- mér (“to measure”) → mérleg (“scale”)
- (frequentative verb-forming suffix, rare) Added to a stem to form a verb denoting repetitive action.
- szédeleg (“to feel dizzy”)
