Etymology
Literally, "Ashes on your head!". A widespread statement of dissatisfaction in many languages in the Middle East.Compare Gilaki خاک بی تي سر (xåk bə ti sər, “Put ashes on your head!”) [1], Kurmanji xwelî li serê te be (“ashes on your head!”).
