- (frequentative suffix) Often added to a sound-imitative root to form a verb to indicate repetitive action.
- fröcsköl (“to sprinkle”)
Usage notes
- No longer productive. It is used only in a few words. Harmonic variants:
- -kol is added to back vowel words
- -kel is added to unrounded front vowel words
- -köl is added to rounded front vowel words
