Etymology 1
From Proto-Albanian *ku ̊, from Proto-Indo-European *kʷu- (“who, where”), derived from *kʷ-. Cognate to Gothic pronominal element for the formation of indefinite pronouns -hun. A deictic particle of remote distance. It only occurs in the pronominal system as the first member of a compound.
