jui⁵⁵
Pela
Etymology
Uncertain. Likely related with Proto-Tani *ju (“demon/evil spirit”), cf. Bokar u ju (“ghost”), and Tangut 𗢛 (/*¹ˑju/, “demon”), Horpa jə (“ghost, spirit”), and Nusu ʑui³³. Compare Lhao Vo yui, Lashi yu'.
Pronunciation
- IPA(key): /jui⁵⁵/

Usage Notes
Since Pela people are mostly animists, they do not clearly distiguish good and evil spirits by using different terms. Cf. Jingpho nat.
