- (transport, Mostly in definite singular: høyreregelen) priority to the right; a traffic rule that applies in chiefly Norway (as well as Sweden and Finland) and obliges a vehicle driver to give way for other vehicles oncoming from the right, mainly at a junction without priority signs and traffic signals
