Etymology
From Old Ossetic [Term?], ultimately from Proto-Iranian *xwarž-; cognate with Iron хорз (xorz), Digor хуарз (xwarz, “good”), Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (hwʾlyst' /xwālist/, “sweetest”), and Avestan 𐬓𐬀𐬭𐬆𐬰𐬌𐬱𐬙𐬀- (xᵛarəzišta-, “sweetest”). Compare also Old Armenian ախորժ (axorž), an Iranian borrowing.
