- Han gav etter Avgifti, som Skottakonungen skulde reida til Noreg fyre Suderøyarne, og gav honom endaa Orknøyarne og Hjaltland i Vedd fyre 60 Tusund Gulldukatar; alt detta skulde vera Heimangaava med Margreta, Dotter hans, som vart gift med Skottakonungen Jakob den Tridje. Slikt gjorde han utan Samtykkje av Noregs Rikes Raad, og Øyarne vordi aldri atterløysta.
- He accepted the price the Scottish king would pay Norway for the Hebrides, and gave him Orkney and Shetland too in surety for 60 thousand gold ducats; all this as dowry for Margaret, his daughter, who got married to the Scottish king James the third. He did such without permission from the Counsil of Norway, and the islands were never given back.
