- (geopolitics) The regions of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union member states, Israel, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and four of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, excluding China, regarded as half of a socioeconomic and political divide opposite to the Global South.
