Etymology
Literally "do so well". Gjörðu is the imperative form of the archaic verb gjöra (“to do”). Gjöra is not used in modern Icelandic, instead it uses gera (“to do”).
The phrase gerðu svo vel can also be used but it is not as common, there it is derived from the modern verb gera (“to do”).
