Usage notes
- Früh is one of a small number of German nouns which can or historically could have all three genders; see the appendix. According to the Deutsches Wörterbuch von Jacob und Wilhelm Grimm, Früh was historically masculine and neuter (with the genitive Frühs) as well as feminine; now, it is only feminine.
