Suffix
-eget
- (frequentative suffix) Mostly added to transitive verbs (less frequently to other types of words) to form new verbs denoting repetitive action. It may also change the meaning.
- kér (“to ask, request”) → kéreget (“to beg (alms)”)
Usage notes
- (frequentative suffix) Harmonic variants:
- -gat is added to back vowel words
- -get is added to front vowel words
- -ogat is added to back vowel words
- -eget is added to unrounded front vowel words
- -öget is added to rounded front vowel words
