- that which is “to be X-ed”, “deserving to be X-ed”, “fit to be X-ed”, “worth X-ing”... looked down upon, despised, disdained
- 8 CE, Ovid, Fasti 5.639-642:

pāscēbat sparsās utrāque rīpā bovēs,
