From Proto-Albanian *tšūtja, from *kju-t-jo, from Proto-Indo-European *ḱey- (“to set in motion”) (compare Ancient Greek σεύω (seúō, “to chase (away), rush, incite”), Latin cieō).[1] Doublets include qoj and ndërsej.
